It was initially horrified by the design for aerodynamic reasons and wondered why Musk would allow a design that bled so much drag by being so angular (the consensus appears that the truck’s aerodynamics are….not bad, but certainly not great
Now that I know the reason, I am much more impressed by Tesla’s willingness to completely rethink a truck.
It now feels like a car-version of the F-117, which was a terrible airplane in all conventional airplane aspects, in exchange for that sweet, sweet stealth. And then later versions (the F-22, the F-35) got steadily better at doing stealth.
